Ongoing!: Clemency for Teresa Lewis

ACLU is teaming up with Women's Law Society and the Student for the Innocence Project for a letter writing campaign to ask Governor McDonnell to grant clemency for Teresa Lewis. She is slated to be the first woman to be executed in Virginia in almost 100 years, she also has an IQ of 72. She was convicted in a murder-for-hire plot and was sentenced to death while her co-cospirators are sentenced to life in prison, a sentence she should have shared. Her story is one of love, lies, guilt, and tragedy.

Please visit our table in the law school lobby now through Tuesday 9:30-3:30 and sign a petition asking Governor McDonnell to spare her life.
