I am Assistant Professor of English and Linguistics and the William and Mary Professor of Community Studies at the College of William and Mary. I am also affiliated with the Africana Studies and Women's Studies Programs.

In the summer of 2009, I taught at Virginia Commonwealth University in the Summer Workshop Series for Teachers. The dates for 2010 are July 26-30th.
