Anne Harper Charity Hudley is the North Hall Endowed Chair in the Linguistics of African America and Director of Undergraduate Research for the College of Letters and Science at the University of California, Santa Barbara.

I was previously Associate Professor of Education, English, and Linguistics and the William and Mary Professor of Community Studies at the College of William and Mary. I directed the William and Mary Scholars Program and Co-Direct WMSURE. I was also affiliated with the Africana Studies and Women's Studies Programs.
