TRYOUTS- Saturday, April 25, 2015

Tryouts will be held at W&M Hall on Saturday, April 25th at 10:00 a.m.

Please contact Coach Stefanie at ASAP if you plan to try out.

Would you like to know more about the Tribe Cheer program?? We will have an informal meeting next Thursday, March 26th at 6:00pm. in Room 225 at W&M Hall. We will be answering lots of questions!

Tribe Cheerleaders serve as ambassadors for William & Mary. The team's main priorities are to promote Tribe Athletics, as well as to generate Tribe pride and excitement at games, pep rallies, alumni events, and other various fundraising events for William & Mary. We are dedicated to cheering on the Tribe. We also know that academic success is important. Therefore, we focus on these areas, and are not a competition team.

The team cheers at all football games as well as for the men and women's home basketball games. Tribe Cheer has the opportunity to fly to football games during the regular season, post-season football tournaments, as well as attend the CAA, NCAA and/or NIT basketball tournaments all over the country.

2014 CAA Tournament

In addition to the amazing travel perks, each cheerleader will be issued two Varsity uniforms, Varsity warmups, Varsity cheer shoes, Nike gear and apparel, a Vera Bradley travel bag, per diem money while traveling with the team and free hotel accommodations. There are other special opportunties that come with being a Tribe cheerleader, such as our annual luncheon with President Reveley and our annual team lunch at the Blue Talon.

Tribe Cheerleaders must be dedicated to cheerleading, and understand the commitment it takes to be successful. A Tribe Cheerleader will practice 2-3 days/week and work out with our Strength & Conditioning coaches 2 days/week in addition to games and events.
