Rip McAdams


Professor Rip McAdams joined the Counselor Education Faculty in 1995. He currently serves as  Coordinator of the Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Co-Director of the New Horizon's Family Counseling Center.

Before his appointment to William and Mary, Rip worked for 16 years as a Community Counselor, designing and implementing clinical treatment programs for emotionally disturbed youth. Since his appointment he has continued to practice and conduct research in this area, with particular emphasis on treatment services for aggressive youth and their families and the training and support of professional counselors who provide those services.
