About Me

I am a second year Master's student in Experimental Psychology at the College of William & Mary. My academic advisor is Professor Cheryl Dickter and I work in her Social Cognitive Neuroscience Lab. My first year project was concerned with the Person Perception process by using ERPs.

Currently I am working on my thesis which can broadly be described as Embodied Social Cognition in which I will be examining the involvement of the mu rhythm and facial mimicry behavior in race perception.

Another ongoing project involves the use of frequency tagging (via EEG) to predict category learning theories. This project is part of a Cognitive Psychophysiology class where I am collaborating with Professor Paul Kieffaber, while simultaneously learning Matlab, Psychophysics Toolbox, and EEGlab.

In addition, I am in the process of beginning a line of research with Professor Lee Kirkpatrick concerning Self-Esteem from an Evolutionary Psychology perspective.

Lastly, I am a teaching assistant and lab instructor for Professor Paul Kieffaber's Research Methods class and Professor Cathy Forestell's Advanced Research Methods class.

Once I finish my Master's here I hope to attend a PhD program to continue research and teaching. Feel free to check out my C.V. and e-mail me with any questions.
