Some courses in Psychology are subject to the Majors Restriction. This means that declared psych majors have priority in registering for that course until 8 AM on the Monday of the second week of registration. NSCI majors have equal priority to psychology majors when registering for courses that are part of the NSCI major.
Many, but not all, psychology faculty start a course waitlist at the first class meeting for those who attend. I adhere to this policy. If there is room, I will admit students from the waitlist created the first day according to seniority, declared major status, and transfer status. In the case of multiple ties, I'll use a lottery system.
When possible, interested parties are encouraged to consider taking summer courses.
