Photon Spectroscopy Team Home

Welcome to the photon spectroscopy haven where we are interested in studying novel materials with photons in the terahertz, infrared, visible, and ultraviolet spectral range. This spectral range spans energies between 1 meV and 6 eV. Photons interact with electronic and bosonic excitations in condensed matter thereby providing valuable spectroscopic information about these excitations.

We are interested in investigating materials with unconventional properties like high-temperature superconductivity and metal-insulator transitions. We also plan to study materials that exhibit collective effects, for example, plasmon resonances.
