The Founding of Nu Kappa Epsilon

NKE was started in 1994 because we felt that there was a part missing within the music community. Delta Omicron accepted only people who took only music appreciation classes, not just performance. We felt that there should be an organization where women of music as a performing art could meet and flourish. So here we are.

You can draw a definite line separating us from any other group. We've gotten ourselves known to the music department and the campus. Here we have a group of women who have given a good deal of their lives over to expressing themselves through music. Whether it is singing or playing an instrument, each of us has grown through the music that we share.

Music is an important gift and we feel that it is important that we share it with others. With people like you, there will always be music in the world, and the world will be a much happier place because of it.
