Drug and Alcohol Policy
Note: This page is not visible to the public - only to site admins.

Rehearsing and performing under the influence of drugs or alcohol is unprofessional and will not be tolerated.  This behavior creates a physically dangerous environment for fellow dancers and shows a lack of respect for the choreographers and other members of Orchesis.

If a member notices any other member arriving inebriated to a rehearsal or performance, this must be reported to a director (if present) and the choreographer immediately to protect the safety of the cast as a whole.  The inebriated dancer will be pulled from the rehearsal or performance, and this will count as one unexcused absence.

Members are expected to be aware that the use of alcohol can result in "hung over" muscles the following day, which can have a negative imapact on performing ability.
