Founded in 1894 at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln by then-Lieutenant John J. Pershing, the National Society of Pershing Rifles serves as the national military fraternity. The crest of the Society is a blue shield bearing crossed rifles and a torch. This is bordered on the bottom by a scroll bearing the year of our founding and on the top by a targe under a roman helmet.
There are Pershing Rifles companies all over the country that provide a co-ed fraternal outlet and sponsor the proficiency in military drill on college campuses.
As Brothers in the National Society of Pershing Rifles and members of Company W, 4th Regiment, we conduct ourselves according to the organization's six white stripes:
1. Devotion to duty and country
2. A bold and true heart
3. Readiness to meet any situation
5. Military proficiency
