Submitting Your Work
Send poetry, prose, nonfiction, or visual art with a cover letter (including a two to three sentence biography, post and email addresses). We do not accept previously published works, and works cannot be simultaneously published. If you choose to simultaneously submit works, you must include this in your cover letter and notify us immediately if something is accepted elsewhere. Rights revert back to the author/artist after publication. Do not send a combination of poetry, prose and/or art in the same email. Deadline for submissions each year is February 1; we read from September to February and publish a new volume each spring. Contributors will receive five complimentary copies of the publication.
A single submission should not include more than 6 poems. Do not staple multiple poems together. We do not publish translations.
Chapters of novels are not accepted. Please keep submissions to less than 7,000 words or 25 typed double-spaced pages; significantly shorter than that is also perfectly acceptable.
Only digital artwork is accepted. Please send five to fifteen digital images of your unpublished art. All media and themes are welcome. Images should be submitted in 8-bit (to ensure proper display in “Windows Picture and Fax Viewer”) TIFF format and use a CMYK, not RGB, color scheme. All digital images should have 300ppi minimum resolution. |
