Welcome to Swastha Nepal!
We are a group of students and professors from the College of William and Mary that work to provide healthcare to people in the rural villages of eastern Nepal. Our primary goal is to research to elucidate gaps in the healthcare system and local perceptions of health and illness. Our annual trip to this region of Nepal used to happen in early January, during which we traveled with a group of physicians, ophthalmologists, and dentists to set up a mobile health clinic and conduct our research. Ever since the earthquake in 2015 however, we have shifted our attention to earthquake relief and fundraising.
