Mother Huckers: SPRING 2012
After a great fall semester, we started off the spring a little rusty at UVA, but ended up taking 5th place, breaking seed! We held that placing at JMU Bonanza, even after facing brutal wind and some close games. At High Tide in Georgia, we went 8-1 throughout the tournament, finishing in 2nd place after a close (12-10) loss to Michigan State. Movin up in the rankings! We went into our next tournament, VA is for Layouts, seeded 10th, but ended up getting second overall. We also had the opportunity to participate in workshops and learn some new drills, and had the valuable help of a guest coach, Lindsey Cross, who was awesome! As the College Championship Series began, we participated in the VA Conference Championships, held in Williamsburg. We went 4-0 on Saturday (beating JMU, GMU, VA Tech, and VCU) and 1-2 on Sunday, losing to UVA twice but clinching 2nd place and a bid to Regionals. We closed out our Spring 2012 season with a 9th place tie at Atlantic Coast Regionals in Axton, VA. We had a fun, competitive season and are excited for the fall!
Mother Huckers: FALL 2011
Our fall season got off to a fantastic start! We had over 20 new members come out to practice and be really eager about playing. We played in our first tournament, Virginia Fusion, in September, learning a lot and focusing on player development. We also participated in University of Richmond's Monument Games, our second tournament of the season. We brought home a 2nd place finish, breaking seed! On November 5-6, we hosted a home tournament: "Huck Upon the Gale." We came in FIRST place out of 8 teams, going 6-0 and winning our first tournament of the year!

The spring season has been fun and exciting so far for the Mother Huckers. We traveled to Chapel Hill, NC, over the first weekend in February to compete in the Queen City Qualifier, and finished 3rd. We also played in the Hellfish Bonanza on February 26-27, and finished in 5th place, and then traveled to Elon, NC in March to play in the Nutty Huck, at which we finished second. We finished up our season with a fourth place finish in our Conference Championship, and traveled to Wilmington, NC to play in the Atlantic Coast Regionals.
Mother Huckers: 2009-2010 Season
The Mother Huckers had a great run in 2009-2010. In the fall we got some talented new recruits and won some important games of ultimate. Over the course of the spring 2010 season, we finished 13th at Queen City Tune Up in February, WON the JMU Hellfish Bonanza in February, and WON High Tide in Georgia in March. We then went on to take 2nd in the Blue Ridge Section and an unprecedented 7th in the Atlantic Coast Region to round out our season.
