The William & Mary Band Program

Welcome to the web home of The William & Mary Wind Symphony, the artistic cornerstone of the William & Mary Band program, presenting the finest in symphonic wind music.

The ensemble, conducted by William & Mary Director of Bands Angela Holt, brings together approximately 50 talented wind, brass and percussion players to perform wind ensemble and symphonic band music from a repertoire that spans the 16th through the 21st centuries.

Traditionally, the Wind Symphony delights William & Mary students, faculty, and staff; Williamsburg residents; tourists; and others with a variety of diverse performances throughout the course of the curricular year.  Venues include Family Weekend and Homecoming in the Fall, a Winter Holiday show, two Pops Concerts in the Spring, and more.

Additionally, the Wind Symphony takes an annual tour each Spring.  Previous stops have included Montreal; Boston; and Washington, D.C.; a trip to Atlanta, Georgia is slated for early 2009.

From this webpage, you can learn more about the ensemble, find out how to join, meet the individuals that keep the group running smoothly, listen to and watch some of our most recent performances, or support the ensemble.  Enjoy your stay!
