With the College's recently announced budget cuts, the William & Mary Wind Symphony is in more need than ever for support from its friends, family, and alumni. Without generous financial contributions from people like you, the Wind Symphony might soon find itself unable to pay for instrument repairs, maintain and improve facilities, help subsidize tour costs for working students, or worse.
Fortunately, though, there are many ways you can help. Here are some of the exciting ways for you to personally help our ensemble grow:
- Buy a t-shirt or bumper sticker! Hot off the presses in Fall 2008, the Wind Symphony is selling Music Department t-shirts and Wind Symphony stickers for $10.00 and $4.00 respectively. E-mail Publicity Chair Will Taylor for more information.
- Donate to the Wind Symphony. Your generous contribution of money, instruments, or music will help ensure a bright future for the College's premiere wind ensemble. E-mail Secretary Laura Grieneisen to learn how you can help.
- Volunteer at our concerts or events. We're always in need of extra hands to sell tickets, set up, and manage other components of our performances when we're busy playing. If you'd like to lend a hand, speak with our Vice President, Miriam Foltz.
- Host a Wind Symphony concert. The Wind Symphony will gladly visit your school, performance hall, or other public place to dazzle your crowd. We go on tour every Spring but could also make a special trip just for you, if you'd like to sponsor us. E-mail Tour Director Erica Wickman to learn more about this opportunity.
However you support the Wind Symphony, whether by attending one of our concerts or participating more significantly, every member of the ensemble appreciates your generosity.
