The location of my event is not in the dropdown list, what can I do?
Select "Other" from the list and include your location in the Room field to have it appear in listings and RSS feeds.
Is there a way for visitors to search every calendar?
Yes. In addition to searching for events in the current calendar, the quick search (to the right of the calendar title in the banner) looks at all W&M calendars. Results are returned divided into 3 separate tabs: “This calendar”, “All calendars” and “Calendar name matches.” Multiple search terms are also supported as well as search phrases.
Is there a way for visitors to search past events?
Yes. The advanced search offers search by date range, including dates in the past.
I have a multi-day event, how should I enter this in the system?
Option 1: Enter the start date and end date without start or end times. Include the start and end times in either your summary or full description. (Note: You might also choose to enter the start time for the first day and end time for the last day, but you still should clarify in the summary or description the per day times, unless you are planning some sort of marathon film festival or Woodstock.)
Option 2: Create a separate event for each day. If you choose this option, be sure to take advantage of the duplicate function after you create the first day event. Selecting duplicate from the My Events screen will pre-populate a new event form with all the information from the selected event, minus the dates.
