For the first time this season the Tribe experienced a come from behind victory. Despite a try by the Tribe in the first minutes of play, compounded mistakes and multiple missed penalty kicks allowed VCU a try and a penalty kick to go up by 3 in the first half. Before the whistle blew for the half, however, the Tribe found their hands and common sense and pounded in two tries. The second half was spent pushing VCU further back on their heels. Three tries were scored by William and Mary in the second half, while VCU was able to save face with a strong scrum and good run for a try in the last minute of the match. Final score: WM 36, VCU 13.
