About Club Soccer

William and Mary has two women's club soccer teams: the Green team and the Gold team. Both teams hold weekly practices, games, tournaments and play pick-up, fundraise and have socials.

The Green team travels a lot more frequently and participates in the Regional tournament in the Fall. We have recently joined the Southeast Regional League therefore we play teams in North Carolina and Virginia. In the spring the Green team plays in an indoor tournament at Loyola and an outdoor 7 v 7 tournament at UNC. The Gold team plays a lot of games around the area and also plays in tournaments. Both teams look to play other colleges and universities in the area including University of Virginia, Old Dominion University and Radford.

Each team is entirely student run; captains and officers are voted on by the team at the end of the fall season every year. At the beginning of the Fall semester, try-outs are held to place returning and new members on one of the two teams. Club members typically pay dues each semester with the amount to be set by each team individually.
